This week Nikay Dan'rey head of the Blue, Sky, Society, Aartan Ridges very own guild of hippies, has suggested they need a motto.

What's 

Up Doc

This week The Star went to visit our very own mayor in waiting Doc Novus.

The waiting room was empty and the blinds were pulled down low against the first rays of the dawns sun.

Doc is an early riser and likes to start the day with a large breakfast, Doc likes everything large.

"It'll put hair on you ass boy." he tells me as I sit down and reach for my comlink.

"Thanks." I say as I tuck into what could pass as two breakfast welded into one.

M.E.R.C.ing

It was a sad day this month as co leader of the  Aartan Ridge M.E.R.C.S. Caleb announced he was to leave the city.

Caleb 

Caleb who has been an active member of Aartan for the last 6th months made his shock decision earlier this month. This left the M.E.R.C.S. with a position to fill so Eoth the M.E.R.C.S. temporary leader announced elections for Caleb's vacated seat.

Under Attack!

It started as a simple abduction.

Nikay Dan'rey and Tel Nexus , two of Aartan's explorers, were surveying out in the wilds. Normally these to sons of the soil could handle anything the wilderness could through at them but today  was to be different.

As they had just camped for the night when they were attacked by a mysterious group of raiders. Tel was captured but Nikay managed to escape and though injured, made his way back to town.

He stumbled into this reporters bar, and after I had go him to the Doc, I ran over to the A.R.M.E.D. H.Q. 

Eoth was all business and after putting down his doughnut, we got 

a posy together and went after the captured Tel.

Tel Nexus

After a wild drive through the night we came upon the camp, huddled in the bowl of a valley there appeared to be at least 50 armed men, they were sleeping around campfires with sentries patrolling the boundary.

A Herd of Banthas

Eoth quickly accessed our situation and came up with a plan he sent Rekush off to stampede a nearby herd of banthas while he went into the camp to rescue Tel.
